I would probably give this four stars, but I feel like Little Blue Truck’s initial purpose in the city isn’t at all clear, so I think the storyline is lacking in that regard。 I also think the concept of being patient and kind and waiting one’s turn could have been a bit stronger。

I read this to Lily this morning and it was absolutely adorable and so well illustrated。

All the different vehicles want to be first in line。 They all end up in some kind of situation to where they can't be first anymore。 The little blue truck saved the day when he helped the Mayor find his way。 He was now in charge of leading the way。 The other vehicles let him go first and everything turned out smoothly。 I think this is a fun read for all vehicle lovers。 The different sounds the cars make are fun to sound out and play with。 All the different vehicles want to be first in line。 They all end up in some kind of situation to where they can't be first anymore。 The little blue truck saved the day when he helped the Mayor find his way。 He was now in charge of leading the way。 The other vehicles let him go first and everything turned out smoothly。 I think this is a fun read for all vehicle lovers。 The different sounds the cars make are fun to sound out and play with。 。。。more

Genre: modern fantasy fictionGrade Range: kindergarten- 2nd gradePersonal Review: I really think that a lot of kids LOVE this series。 Little Blue Truck is such a fun character。 Rather than animals, he is a truck! I think that this is a really cool concept that kids would really like to act out in class, and once again they know and love the character! One thing that it includes is sound effects for kids to make。 I think this would keep them engaged and help create a different kind of lesson when Genre: modern fantasy fictionGrade Range: kindergarten- 2nd gradePersonal Review: I really think that a lot of kids LOVE this series。 Little Blue Truck is such a fun character。 Rather than animals, he is a truck! The other cars are kind of grumpy, and sometimes I worry their behavior might teach my kid the wrong manners。 But ultimately I think it's a good story overall。 A good reminder for parents to slow down and chill, I suppose。 I do need that reminder from time to time。。。 The other cars are kind of grumpy, and sometimes I worry their behavior might teach my kid the wrong manners。 But ultimately I think it's a good story overall。 A good reminder for parents to slow down and chill, I suppose。 I do need that reminder from time to time。。。 。。。more

Not as endearing as the first Little Blue Truck or Goodnight Blue Truck。 It also feels like a lot of the rhyming has been recycled。

The original cannot be touched, but this one is pretty great, too。Little man adores the little blue truck。

The cute little blue truck does it again。 Important lessons for kids in sharing while introducing the beauty of urban living and different types of cars and trucks that might be encountered on the city streets。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 One fine day, Little Blue Truck decides to drive into the city。 Due to his lack of city driving skills, he quickly causes a traffic jam。 Does he learn a valuable lesson about adapting to the environment you're in? He does not do that, and instead decides it's everyone else's fault。 Bizarrely, the whole city and the mayor appear to agree with him, and hold a parade in his honour。 Perhaps offscreen on the last page there's a rail and a bucket of tar waiting for him (or a vehicular equivalent)。Traf One fine day, Little Blue Truck decides to drive into the city。 Due to his lack of city driving skills, he quickly causes a traffic jam。 Does he learn a valuable lesson about adapting to the environment you're in? The fire trucks? How much blood is on LBT's proverbial hands? Conclusion: cute pictures, questionable message。 Will likely read it many times to my child over the next few years。 。。。more

Little Blue Truck makes his way from the country to the city and finds himself in a traffic jam full of angry and impatient trucks, busses, and more。 Sometimes, though, it takes a small and friendly truck to find a way to navigate the noise。

I like this better than the first one--there's more going on in the illustrations, there's a bit more going on in the story, and it doesn't repeatedly call one of its characters "the dump。" It's one of our kid's favorites, and it's not one of my favorites but there are enough things I like about it: nice illustrations, opportunities to make loud screeching noises, a marching band, a mayor who looks like David Dinkins。 Displays a disappointing grasp of how traffic jams work and how to alleviate t I like this better than the first one--there's more going on in the illustrations, there's a bit more going on in the story, and it doesn't repeatedly call one of its characters "the dump。" It's one of our kid's favorites, and it's not one of my favorites but there are enough things I like about it: nice illustrations, opportunities to make loud screeching noises, a marching band, a mayor who looks like David Dinkins。 Displays a disappointing grasp of how traffic jams work and how to alleviate them。 Pro tip: change some of the vehicles' genders as you're reading it。 。。。more

This book is great when showing that animals (and people) can help each other out。 When the animals touch gets stuck they all use their skills to help get It out。 I think this would be great in a younger aged classroom to teach helping others。

This book is wonderful on so many levels。 Its use of onomatopeia help bring the voices of the different types of automobiles to life。 I think sometimes we can all feel like Little Blue, slightly nervous and out of place in a new environment。 But Little Blue shows us that sometimes a different perspective is a good thing。 The city vehicles who were used to doing things a specific way got themselves into quite a jam, and Little Blue, the outsider, offers a unique perspective and a solution that wo This book is wonderful on so many levels。 Its use of onomatopeia help bring the voices of the different types of automobiles to life。 I think sometimes we can all feel like Little Blue, slightly nervous and out of place in a new environment。 But Little Blue shows us that sometimes a different perspective is a good thing。 The city vehicles who were used to doing things a specific way got themselves into quite a jam, and Little Blue, the outsider, offers a unique perspective and a solution that works。 He offers a hand and kindness is celebrated as the traffic clears, a marching band plays, and the people on the streets cheer and wave。 The book ends with Little Blue riding off into the sunset, headed back for the country。 。。。more

Copyright © 2009, Children’s literature, guidance, teamwork, respect I loved these book because they talked about real life things in a funny and engaging way。 My favorite part was when little blue truck said, “You might be fast, and I might be slow。。。 But one at the time is the way to go。” I will use this book for my little students to teach them that they don’t need to rush to get somewhere。

My new favorite series! this book was so fun to read and not only was it an easy read but also allowed to have a story line behind it too。 The pictures pull the kids in and the sound effects and emphasis on words to use throughout the reading keep the kids wanting more。 Also what student wouldn't love a little blue truck! I loved every minute of the message and scenery of this book and will definitely be reading it to my students in the hopefully the near future My new favorite series! this book was so fun to read and not only was it an easy read but also allowed to have a story line behind it too。 The pictures pull the kids in and the sound effects and emphasis on words to use throughout the reading keep the kids wanting more。 Also what student wouldn't love a little blue truck! This is the long one。 The truck can talk to trucks, and the truck can talk to animals, and the truck can talk to people, but can animals talk to people? and can other trucks talk to people as well?

This book is an eye catcher and catchy in its writing。 The illustrations are well done and fun to look at。 The little blue truck is on every page and it honestly steals the show。 The books has lots of ona text with the little blue truck which he says when he see the truck。 It is a huge hit in our house and we love reading it。 I wish there were more books for the Little Blue Truck。 I like this one better than the other (we have that one too and it is great as well)。

We enjoyed each detailed illustration, discussing what season the story was set in, the differences between city life and rural areas, and why the little blue truck was going into the city for the day。

I found this book to be stressful。

Little Blue Truck goes to the big city。 He is surprised at the all of the noises and how big everything is and how busy everyone seems。 Soon Little Blue is teaching the city dwellers about the importance of patience and taking turns。 Nothing beats the original for me but this one is also pretty great, especially if you have a little one who loves Little Blue like mon do!

Hello。 I am 1。 I think this book is even better than the first one。 There are so many good parts: the man sweeping the sidewalk, the traffic jam that has lots of yellow cars, the lady with a brown turtleneck, the smoke coming out of the limo, those bushes by the side of the road, the puppy on the lady's shoulder, and the fire hydrant are particularly wonderful。 Hello。 I am 1。 I think this book is even better than the first one。 There are so many good parts: the man sweeping the sidewalk, the traffic jam that has lots of yellow cars, the lady with a brown turtleneck, the smoke coming out of the limo, those bushes by the side of the road, the puppy on the lady's shoulder, and the fire hydrant are particularly wonderful。 。。。more
